Does anyone know a car insuarance provider that is cheapest for young drivers?
I am getting a car soon and i was wondering is there a particular car insurance companies that is cheaper for young drivers? (I’m 17)

In my opinion, the best company is the one that offers you the lowest price for the policy that you are seeking, and they all change prices every 6 months so there isn’t one that can be named.
Best way is to call around, get quotes.
You need to do some leg work on this because each company will look at your record and intended vehicle differently.

Just get a quote from insurers you get from yellow pages,. The internet, the TV, the radio.
Just don’t go for the first price they quote you but spend a few days collecting data.

Cheap Car Insurance for young drivers?
My younger brother is 18 and he has had his UK drivers licence for 5 months (he was 18 when he passed) but he has not driven since he passed his test simply because he can’t afford insurance. When I passed at 18 I paid £500 on our mothers insurance and that was considered expensive but the cheapest he has found is £1029 With the co op. Can anyone help him because he really deserves it, anywhere cheaper would be ideal. Thanks

Oh Hum – the same old young driver insurance question – understandable with the rises in general lately and specific larger rises for teens and under 25s.
Sorry there is not one – what is cheapest today could be the most expensive tomorrow – that is the way it works.
There is no substitute for shopping around, getting it down to the best 2 or 3 quotes and then get on the PHONE and haggle with them for the best price. Despite the promise of internet discounts the best prices are on the phone

You can opt out just for minimum liability coverage, no collision or comprehensive, that is if you are willing to forgo the money you invested in the car if you total it and don’t care if you are sued in case of serious accident.

Surprisingly when I shopped around I got mine cheapest at M&S….I know shocker!!
Try Endsleigh too as they are a student insurer.
P.S I was 23 when I got my car insured for the first time in May! X

Ok I am 18 going on 19 this summer. I got my license last January(I was 17, 2009) I drive a 2008 Yellow Chevy Aveo LS. No alarm. I have a clean driving record. I kept a 3.0 average when I was in school. I drive about 20-30 miles a day. The car is in my name. I got the loan in August 2009 and I have never been late on a payment. My payment is $208 and I pay $210 (banker said it helps) and I usually pay it early but never late! I have no debt otherwise. I have GAP coverage through my bank too. I live in Utah. I rent an apartment. I will be the only driver.
I am looking for cheap insurance since I am young. My mother and I cannot get along and likes to hang this over my head and use it to control me so I want off! No ties.
Please if you know of a good cheap insurance company (It has to be full coverage for my loan) let me know. Or if you are an insurance agent and can help I would appreciate it!

And I am out of the house. I have been back and forth since 15 I cover all my own bills. It was just cheaper to go through her insurance but not worth the drama now.
